VIBE meditation retreat FAQ

What will we do?​

  • There will be 4 hour-long meditation sessions during the day, along with various meal times, rest times, and reflective activities. 

What do I bring?

  • One of our activities will involve walking (gently) outdoors, so make sure you bring season/weather-appropriate clothing for that (e.g., rain boots or sneakers, sweater or rain coat, etc.).

Do I need experience with/equipment for/knowledge of meditation?

  • No. In keeping with VIBE's ethos, this retreat is designed for everyone. Our meditation is not based in any spiritual practice and doesn't utilize specialized equipment, language, or knowledge. If you're able to manage our stairs, you're ready for this retreat!

Is it a silent retreat?

  • No. Rather, it's a 'quiet' retreat. There will be some silent periods (e.g., meditation sessions) but you'll be free to talk quietly during others (e.g., meal times). You're free to bring your cell phones, but we will encourage you to put them away during certain periods and/or keep them on silent mode at all times.

Do I pre-order my food?

  • All of the food we're serving is vegetarian and there will be several options for breakfast/snacks and minimum two choices for lunch. If you have allergies, please let us know. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate special dietary needs (e.g., gluten-free) or dietary regimens such as keto or low-carb.
